elephant's behaviors
BOTH THE READING AND THE LACTURE ARE TALKING ABOUT ELEPHANT'S behavior. The rading states that elephants have surprising behaviors. However, the proffesor opposes this. She said that elepgants are fascinating, but the believes about their behavior is based on miss understanding.
According to the passage, elephants can feel the death, as they become older. This particular example is challenged by the proffesor. She states that this believe is not true. She said that elephants leave the herd when they are older, because of their teeth, they are not able to chew hard food. Therefore, they move to another envoirnment where thy can find soft food to eat. They are looking for soft veggetables, and those are found usually near water.
Moreover, the author of the reading supports the idea that the elephants are able to perform artistic ability. The author says that they are capable to paint on canvas after they are being tought by humans. On the other hand, the lecturer says that they are not able to paint, but they are able to keep the bruth on they ears and move over and over, and this they do repeat the pattern of the pictures.
Finally, the reading part hold the opinion that elephans are afraid of mice. It says that the elephants run away as soon as they see mice. Yet, the professor in the listening part does not agree with the author's idea. She says that this is a miss understanding that elephants are afraid of mice. Moreover, she claims that they are not scared from mice but they are scared from something that is unknown for them. She agave the example of the elephans that live in zoo who are not scared of mice, because they are already familiar with them.
In summary, bot the reading and the listening part are holding different ideas regarding elephant's behaviors.
