Essay topics:

The graph shows the percentage of visiting the cinema once a month or more between 1984 to 2000 (4 age groups).
Summarise the information and make comparisons where relevant.

The illustration indicates the proportion of the frequency of four different age groups going to the cinema in a 19-year period from 1984 to 2003.

Overall, by the end of 2003, the group from 15-24 years old sustained its first rank while the oldest group hardly showed noticeable change. Moreover, two other groups both reached the same portion at that time.

Starting with the biggest figure at 16% in 1984, the category of premature individuals (15-24 years old) kept increasing. This group’s frequency then peaked at 57% in 2003 but ended with a decline to 52% the following year. Meanwhile, adults in age 35 showed minor interest in this activity, evidenced by a slight growth from 1% in 1984 to 13% after 2003.

On the other hand, despite a 9% gap from the beginning, the quantity of children and young adults caught up with each other quite closely. They both experienced a dramatic rise and reached the same percentage at 14% in 1992s and 32% in the 2000s. Finally, these two groups also landed at 30% at the end.
