How Wolves need to be protected
Wolves
Wolves are part of a majestic and ancient part of nature. Extinction doesn't just happen to animals from long ago like dinosaurs, the dodo bird, sabretooth tiger, mammoth, and other species. It can happen to other animals too. Like the pandas the wolves are part of the endangered species list. Some of the specimens of wolves are already extinct like the Japanese wolf, the Cascade Mountain wolf, the Dire wolf, and many more. Around the globe there are sanctuaries for creatures that are at the risk of extinction to live and be protected from harm. It warms people's hearts to know that their favorite animal is protective from wildfires, pollution, food shortages, mud slides, and other disasters that can harm the wildlife and its creatures. Newfoundland Wolf, Kenai Peninsula Wolf, and Cascade Mountain Wolf are some breeds that have gone extinct in the last 150 years.
The Newfoundland wolf is a specimen that has been extinct since 1911. It was known for its white coat and having a slim nose and head. The Newfoundland wolf existed on the island of Newfoundland off the eastern coast of Canada. Another fact is that the demands of the Newfoundland wolf are often attributed to government boundaries and overhunting. Also, a dramatic drop-in Caribou population which the wolves hunted as prey added to the problem of a lack of food source. Unfortunately, because of these events the Newfoundland wolf became extinct.
Extinction can happen to anyone or anything for example the Kenai Peninsula Wolf. The Kenai Peninsula wolf is one of four subspecies that live in Alaska which as you may know is part of the United States. This wolf was relatively large, but once gold was discovered in the region it marked the beginning of the end for this type of wolf. Now in Alaska when they found gold it shifted how the wolves would hunt and took up their natural resources and their shelters. This caused a lot of problems for this kind of wolf so because they were shifting for gold, they were bringing up stones and minerals in the water that shouldn't have been there. By 1925 the Kenai wolf was extinct. In nearly 30 years minor fears of rabies along with the value of wolf pelt proved to be forces to great for the Kenai wolf to overcome. Now there are more subspecies of wolves that might still exist. As far as we know, the Kenai Peninsula wolf is still extinct.
The Cascade Mountain wolf officially became a wolf subspecies in 1839. It roamed in the Cascade Mountain Range of the Western United States all the way to western Canada and as far as north as the tips of California. Along with several other wolf subspecies in that part of the world in the late 1800s, the Cascade Mountain wolf did not survive the constant destruction of their forests. Their lands were ravished by being used for human shelters and from the miners and trappers hunting them fiercely. By 1940 they were officially considered extinct. This extinct wolf species was described as having a cinnamon, and or grayish-brown coat with hints of red and black tangled in its coat. This color was considered a rare beauty among wolves.
The world needs to continue education as young as grade school level on this terrible extinction problem for wolves. Sanctuaries being a protection for wolves from humans and mankind should continue to grow in the years to come. Only by educating the younger generations can the world began to heal from the loss of these great creatures. The importance of sanctuaries and protected species of almost extinct wolves have never been more necessary than it is today.

Wolves are a vital part of…
Wolves are a vital part of the ecosystem and play an important role in maintaining the balance of nature. However, due to human activities and habitat loss, wolves are facing numerous threats to their survival. Therefore, it is essential to take measures to protect them.
Here are some ways in which wolves can be protected:
1. Habitat Conservation: One of the most effective ways to protect wolves is by conserving their habitat. This can be achieved by creating protected areas and national parks where wolves can roam freely without human interference.
2. Hunting Regulations: Hunting regulations should be put in place to ensure that wolves are not hunted excessively. These should include strict quotas and limits on hunting seasons.
3. Education and Awareness: Educating people about the importance of wolves and their role in the ecosystem can help reduce negative attitudes towards them. This can be done through educational programs and public awareness campaigns.
4. Livestock Management: Wolves are often blamed fnf livestock losses, which can lead to conflicts with humans. Livestock management practices should be implemented to reduce these losses and prevent conflicts.
5. Endangered Species Protection: Wolves are listed as endangered species in many countries, and protecting them under the law can help ensure their survival.
By taking these measures to protect wolves, we can ensure that they continue to play their vital role in the ecosystem and maintain the balance of nature.
