Between 1970 and 2010, the share of vehicle registrations for the three most frequent types of business vehicles in the United States changed dramatically.
The firstly, in 1970, the bus accounted for a small fraction of vehicle registrations and were also the lowest rate of the three types of vehicles. It reached the highest point with nearly a fifth in 1980. After that, from 1980 to 2010, the proportion of bus continuosly declined steadily and neared the zero percent.
The secondly, the vehicle with an unstable up-and-down rate is taxi. The taxi started at a quarter. Then it had plummet rate from 1980 with around two-fifth to 2000 at fifteen percents. For the next 10 years, the rate leaped to over a third.
Finally, between 1970 and 1980, the truck slumped by almost a fifth (from 48% to 30%). In 1980, the rate had morderate upward trend to 1990. It climbed from 31% to 45% in the next 20 years (1990-2010).
