The table shows the national consumption in three categories in five different countries by 2002.
Generally, the largest proportion of consumer expenditure went on food, drink, and tobacco, while leisure and education was seen as the lowest percentages in the table.
Clearly, Turkey was the country where people spent much on food, drink, and tobacco (32.14%), whereas Sweden was seen to spend about 15.77% in the same category. In contrast to the first item mentioned, people spend least on leisure and education, which could be seen in Spain (approximately 1.98%) and Ireland (roughly 2.21%).
In clothing and footwear, Italy was seen to be the highest percentage overall the five nations, at nearly 9%, followed by Turkey (6.63%) and Ireland (6.42%).
