The table is about the proportion of different categories of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999. It departs in two parts: family type and proportion of people from each household type living in poverty.
The family type included single aged person, which’s proportion of people from each household type living in poverty is 6% (54,000). And aged couple is 4% (48,000). single, no children is 19% (359,000). The family type of couple, no children is 7% (211,000). sole parent s 21% (232,000). couple with children is 12% (933,000). The type of All households is 11% (1837,000).
It is obviously that the family type of sole parent has the large proportion in poverty. Next is the type of single, no children family, then is the type of couple with children family, and all households, the type of couple, no children, the type of single aged person. Finally, the type of aged couple is the mini in poverty.
