The given line chart shows the proportion of people accessing news by 4 different kinds of methods between 1995 and 2025. Overall, the percentage of people getting news from TV was the highest before being predicted to be surpassed by the internet. The internet might also see the greatest increase in the number of people using it. In addition, the figures for people using TV, newspaper and the radio fell, while there was an increase in the proportion of people using the internet. This trend is likely to continue by 2025.
In 1995, the percentage of people watching news on TV was very high, nearly three quarters. Newspaper and radio recorded a lower percentage of users, both more than 50%. The internet seemed to be not popular as the percentage of people using it to get news was exactly at 0%. About 5 years later, the number of people using these methods started to change more clearly. The figure for TV decreased slightly to under 60%, those for newspaper and radio were the same, both of them fell to 50% . in contrast, there was a slowly increase in the proportion of people accessing to the internet ( at about 2%)
From 2005, the proportion of people getting news from the internet rose significantly and likely to reach a peak of nearly 60% in 2025. On the other hand, TV saw an slight decline and was predicted to hit a low of 60% of users by the end of the period. The figure for newspaper and radio also decreased but there was not much different in the number of people using between them, falling to 29% and 23% respectively.
