The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The map illustrates initial and present plan of Grange Park.
Overall, the park has gone through numerous modifications, however, entrance and one particular rose garden of upper left is still unchanged.
In the past, the fountain was located on the center of the park facing entrance on the both sides. On the left of the fountain there was a small circular stage for musicians, which had seats and gardens full of roses on its northern and southern sides, whereas on the right of the fountain there was no any monument or structure. Just on the right of the entrance from Eldon Street was narrower but long glass house spread to the seating area. Likewise, pond and rose garden was on the right of next entrance exactly opposite to the glass house.
At present, the entrance on the both sides remained constant. The fountain is abolished and water feature has been built on the eastern side where glass house and seats were located earlier. The two rose gardens - except the one on the upper left, has been brought together and extended to the center in an exact spot where a fountain once stood. Those gardens are surrounded by the seats on its four sides. Stage has shown colossal improvement and it has been converted to Amphitheatre for concerts. The seats on the northern and seats and garden on the southern part of the stage has been removed. Similarly, Rose Garden and pond besides entrance of Arnold Avenue has been demolished and replaced by café and huge play area for children. Regarding the last change, way to underground car park has been constructed to the right side of water feature and can be accessed through Eldon Street.
