absorbed by the Earth. A fifth of it is scattered and reflected by clouds, 6% of the
solar radiation scattered from the atmosphere and the others are absorbed by
atmosphere and clouds. Additionally, the absorbed radiation warms the Earth.
The Earth emits radiation and loses heat at night. Moreover, greenhouse gases
surrounding the Earth trap the radiation from the sun and reflect heat which
makes the Earth suitable for living.
Besides, polluted air emitted from factories may increase greenhouse gases, so
more solar radiation is trapped and more heat is reflected. As a consequence, the
temperature of the Earth becomes warmer and warmer.
