The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
The given bar chart illustrates the amount of Australians of different genders and age groups who engaged in regular physical activity in 2010.
In general, both men and women tended to exercise less when becoming adults. Nevertheless, it is also noticeable there was approximate equality in the figures for the elderly of both sexes having workouts on a regular basis.
As can be observed, teenage boys were the most active when more than half of boys aged 15 to 24 regularly did physical activities. However, that rate fell by over 10% when surveying males who were in their 40s, making them the group taking the least workouts. Meanwhile, those figures for females gradually increased from 47.7% to 52.5%.
Regarding the other features, the proportion of women who were between 45 and 54 joining in exercise became the highest, at 53.3%. In addition, male adults were inclined to be more diligent when getting 65 or over, at 46.7%, which was nearly equal to that of females.
