The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The diagrams provided show us how an airport currently looks and the changes that will be made after redevelopment next year.

Overall, the renovated airport will be much bigger than the current airport and will have a lot more facilities.

The first diagram shows us the current airport which is divided into departures and arrivals. On the departures side, there is a gate to enter the airport, a check-in counter and a cafe. There are eight gates with access onto the runway and a walkway to get from one gate to another. On the arrivals side there is a gate to exit the airport.

The second diagram shows us that the renovated airport will be much larger. The departures side will have an additional gate and baggage drop off facility. After getting past security there will be shops. There will be 18 gates with a sky train to move from one gate to another. On the arrivals side, there will be a cafe, an ATM ,a car hire service and an additional gate to exit the airport.
