The professor explains a model proposed by the German land owner in XVII century. It was in concentric zones and before the age of refrigeration and electricity.
The center zone is the city or the market, around it the first concentric ring consisting of the daily farming fruits and vegetables which can be easily transported and are perishable, the second zone is a wooden consist of thing that can be used as heavy fuel and building materials, the third zone consist of grains such as wheat which are light, can be easily transported, and are less perishable, the final zone consist of livestock like cows that can be easily walked through.
No edea what does 'balkian' mean? And yes, some words were slightly changed, because otherwise they made ZERO SENSE.
