TOEFL SPEAKING TASK 4: PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR
Article:
PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR
People usually won’t show their dissatisfaction in the moment when others do something that would make them unhappy, but they tend to express their negative emotions afterward without consciousness.
Lecture:
Several years earlier, I was going to have a birthday party for myself. I invited a lot of people to come to my house, including my sister. However, just one day before the party, I got a phone call from my sister. She said that she had a big project and would not be able to come. I told her in the phone that it was totally OK and I understood her condition, but I still felt angry and disappointed inside my heart. After a period, I arranged to meet my sister at lunch. I was late for almost an hour. I realized that I just simply wanted to get back at my sister afterward.
