At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people.
Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?
Some countries have disproportionately young populations in comparison to the amount of older people in other countries. The positive implications of this situation are considerably lower than the negatives. This essay will contain the advantages and disadvantages of this situation supported with the following examples.
Nations with a considerably high number of youngsters typically belong to developing countries due to poverty, increasing mortality rate, lack of a healthcare system and infrastructure, which ultimately means widespread unemployment and poor economic growth. In India, for example, fertility is higher, and the country is already grappling with providing education and employ their young people.
Moreover, some countries are already snuggling currently to make jobs available for the citizens. It is highly likely that youth can be a positive force for development when provided with the knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive. Therefore, young adults are struggling to make a livelihood.
On the other hand, countries with an elderly population tend to be economically more developed, resulting in better healthcare services and government support. According to the UN, China, with a median age of 35, has had sustainable development for decades. There is no doubt that fertily reduction in recent years has allowed them to improve the education available to young adults—also, accessible retirement benefits provided by the government. Thus, many countries with relatively high life expectancy are making a giant leap in social and financial growth.
In a nutshell, we can see that the cons of a large fraction of the young people certainly are more than the pros. It is advocated that without adequate investment in the health and education of young people limits their ability to reach their full productive potential and economic development.
