Using smartphones does us more harm than good.
To what extent do you agree with this statement?
Smartphone is an important invention marking the development of science and technology. Almost a part of our lives, it is widely used but its own set of pros and cons. Personally, I believe that smartphones occasioned large peril on our society.
First of all, community to get in touch with others is decreasing because of smartphones, so gradually become distant from each other. Nowadays, most teenager are always using their mobile phones even they are with their family and friends. Easily can be spotted with their phones on the streets, busses or at school. Instead of studying or hang out with parents they are wasting their time for unnecessary matters such as social media, games online…
After the epidemic, the use of phones became more and more popular when students had to do online learning. It is harmful because most students look up the answers from the internet and no longer have the sense of self-study. When teenagers study, any notification displayed on their phone will usually open to read, which hinders the learning of today's students.
To sum up, smartphone is a wonderful thing that brings a lot of benefits to mankind. However, its drawbacks are more influential and bigger than its advantages. Because we use it in the wrong way and use it ineffectively, smartphone or electronic device is becoming more and more a bad thing, even though we know it also gives us a lot of benefits, so let's know how to measure the time you use it and use it for the right purpose to make it meaningful.
