Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
There is nothing that an uneducated person can teach an educated person.
Use specific reasons and examples.
I definetely disagree with the statement that there is nothing an uneducated person can teach to an educated one. There are certainly some skills which cannot be learned by academic education. An uneducated person would be able to teach those skills to educated people.
First of all, there are some skills in life, which can be gained through trial and error. For example a good friend of mine has not gone to the college but he always wanted to have his own company. After a couple unsuccesful trials, he has now an event organization company which does very well. Apparently my friend gained some skills in entrepreneurship which he can teach to people who are better educated than him.
Second, there are also some skills which cannot be learned from academic education. Someone either has these skills in him or herself or learns from the close environment while growing up. For example trading is such a skill. There are some very rich business men who have never had any business class in their life and who can negotiate and close business deals much better than business degree graduates from well-known schools. Those business men can definitely teach these specific skills.
Third, generally speaking, we all learn something from others. It does not always have to be about a specific skill which can be useful in the career or in the school. The skill we learn can also be on the emotional level. As an instance, highly educated people tend to isolate themselves from the people living in lower classes, from people in need. However these people have usually stronger family bonds. Well-educated people can definitely learn about family bonds and about being less egoistic from those people.
In summary, I think that there are many things that educated people can learn from uneducated ones. These can be practical skills whic are learned on trial and error basis, skills which are learned from the close environment while growing up, or skills which are on emotional level.
