First of all the prefessor does not think that the kids that are educated at home are more motivated that the ones who learn at schools, she says that there are other factors, for example, kids educated at home usually watch less television and also, the parents put more interest on their kids' education.
The second point the professor disagrees with is that kids do not need to go to school to socialize properly. In her opinion, it is really important to go to school, because there, the kids interact with more kinds of people, kids and adults, different ethnic peope, etc. Therefore, she thinks that it is not enough for the kids to attend to outside activities and they need other kind of socialization.
Finally, the woman states that although home-schooling made the students better in some subjects as English and maths, the students who attends to public or private schools usually get better marks in subjects as science or history, therefore it is not fair to say that home-schooling improves the scores of the students.
In conclusion, the professor does not really disagree with the author's ideas, but she thinks that it is necesary to talk about the disadvantages of this kind of schooling too.
