It is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends.

In the modern era, as the bounds between family members gets weaker, friends play an important role in people’s lives. In such environment, the issue of choosing appropriate friends has always been a crucial problem. A qustion that may arise concerning having proper friends is wehter to find new friends as we get older, or stay wuth our old friends that we know for several years. I believe although keeping our old friends around is reasonable move, we’d better find new friends too, because we need new friends to satisfy our new needs and to exprerience new things in our lives. Moreover, sometime we have no choice but to make new friends.

The first aspect to point out is that people like (and sometimes need) to experience new issues in their lives and a suitable way towards this goal is to find new friends. As people chat with their friends and they talk about their every-day life issues, they get introduced to each others lives. Therefore, making new friends equals getting expoused to new matters.

Apart the points I made above, one cannot oversee the fact that as we grow up our needs in life changes; therefore, we may need to make new friends accordingly. One of the most important goals of having friends is to satisfy our needs in life. Sometimes as we grow up, our old friends cannot satisfy some parts of our needs anymore. Therefore we require to make new friends who are cabale of satisfying unanswered demands. For instance, may be someone gets attracted to playing golf when he is 30 and none of his friends likes it. Since people like playing golf with others, and not alone, he has to make new friends in the golf club.

Another point deserving some word here is that sometimes we are forced to make new friends cause we have no access to our old friends. For instance, a person who has immigrated to another country or has decided to continue his educations in a forign country cannot meet his old friends in his own country anymore. He/she is obliged to make new friends,

In a word, owing to the aformentioned reasonable causes and elucidations described in previous paragraphs, it appears logical to draw the well-founded conclusion that making new friends is mostly more important than keeping our old friends because we need new friends as we change in our life and also need to experience new things in our lives.
