Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the points made in the reading passage.
The articles states that reduce work time to 4 day work week offer plenty benefit to both business and employee and should be seriously consider and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that reduce day work to 4 day has a some benefit for business and employee but benefit is not enough and this plan has a weakness and this is not convincing and the professor refutes each of the authors reasons.
First, the reading claims that reduce day work alleviate some considerable expenses for the average employee. The professor refutes this point by saying that plan is true but reduce for expenses isn’t enough for employee in every year. He states that every employee drive to work office for 3 miles, and they spend money to gas, therefore, they save their money just 15 to 20 dollars in gas money and this is saving money around 820 dollars in every year and this is not enough for employee.
Second, the article states that reduce the number of work in day will lower the operating cast of most business and employee won’t need to keep their business open an extra day. The professor contends this point by saying that this plan is misguiding. He states if reduce the number of workday to 4 and even that business open 2 hours more in the evening, this is not benefit because most of the customers on that time are at home. Saving a few hundred dollars on operating cost will not justify losing up to 20 percent of your business.
Third, the reading avers that reduce day work improve the ability of employee to spend time with their families. The lecture opposes this point. He states that parents with children that need to care have a many problem and stress with care facility. Also he states that parent with adult children that go to school don’t have a time with their children just half of a day.
