TOEFL essay: Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Which point of view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to ...

Attending class in the university helps a student to learn something different and multi dimensional traits such as art of interaction i.e. listening, speaking with other human, maintaining regularity in the daily life and passing a cheerfull moment with fellow which are not only helpful ingredients to be a successful student but also to be a good human. Though sometimes making some classes optional which can be taught interactively via online or via off campus meeting may meet the demand of attending class, but it is not a substitution for several reasons.

The base of social interaction depends on perceiving qualities of making and answering questions with each other, that is, art of listening and speaking, and attending classes in the university is one of the best ways to acheive those two techniques. Because, teachers provide insightful lectures in the classes and students have to participate to learn what teachers are delivering. Additionally, students have to deliver some questions and answers to recall previous and current lectures which increases their power of speaking and listening.

Maintaining rules and regularity is another important factor to be a successful in life which is learnt by attending classes in the university, because students have to attend classes at a specific location and time. In addition, they have to maintain some other rules e.g. not to make noise, filling up the attendance sheet. These does not help them to maintain basic rules and regulation of life but also increase their capability to adminster themselves to regulate their life.

In addition, students can get ample time to meet other students, professor, staffs, university campus which lead them to pass a beautiful and happier time when they go to attend a class in the university.Furthermore, they can take part into group discussion, gossip, some other meetings related to their school activities. These type of gatherings help them to pass a enjoyable time which invigorate them to study more.

In conclusion, attending class in the university should not be an optional for the students, rather they should be inspired and motivated to attend school class regularly.
