In my view the most useful book to me is “check your vocabulary for IELTS” written by Rawdon Wyatt which is a self-study book containing two specific parts, for two main reasons.
First, I learned many vocabulary by studying it.
For example, now I know which words I should use when I am talking about the environment or how I can exactly describe a city by the most prevalent words.
Second, I learned how to use those vocabularies properly.
For instance, now I know how to apply one specific word such as “variety” in a well-structured sentence.
This is why I think this book is the most useful book to me.
