Illusion of transparency is people's tendency to believe that the people looking at them can see how they are feeling. This observation can cause people to get nervous and anxious, which they think people can see and cause them to become even more nervous and anxious. Illusion of transparency could be described as a downward spiral of negative emotions. However, studies revealed that people could not see how other people were feeling. In addition, to break the downward spiral caused by the person's observation of themselves being viewed by others, one only needs to become enlightened on the fact about illusion of transparency, as tests have proven.
