There are several benefits. First of all, in a group, if you have any problems, you can always find group members to help. Since everyone has different strong subject, if you have trouble with math, you can find a member to help you, if you have difficulty with physics, you can also find another member to help you. Secondly, studying in a group offers chances for discussion. People view things differently. In discussions, you can learn different perspectives. And this can help broaden your horizon.
