Today, people spend much more time and energy on earning than other people used to do in the past. What are reasons for and consequences of this issue? The essay will present some causes and effects of working too much to making a living.
The first cause is that people’s demands now are significantly increasing. Various modern devices, such as smart television, air conditioners or dish washing, appear popularly, and they become vital needs of human beings. To own these items, people must earn much more to afford to pay the luxurious demands whereas people in the past only work to be content with basic needs. Moreover, there is a big number of job opportunities to raise income. People work not only in their companies but also in other workplaces as part-time jobs. For example, many talent doctors work in private clinics after they come back from the hospital. Finally, people have to struggle to get the necessary finance for their high dominant expenses because cost of living more and more dramatically increases.
Along with making a lot of money, working too much can result in some negative effects. Firstly, it can make the family relationship become poorer and poorer since hard workers usually get up early when their babies have not woke up to go office, and they come back home when the kids have gone to bed. Therefore, parents cannot take care of and communicate with their children regularly. In addition, consuming a lot of time can lead to some health problems. For instance, as they usually have to stay still many hours in front of the computer without participating in physical activities, they can get eye issues or diabetes. Especially, going to the bed too late results in stress which is the main cause of stomach – ache.
In brief, there are several reasons for working too much such as to satisfy increasing requirements, to be supplied various attractive jobs and to pay considerable expenses. Meanwhile, there are some consequences of spending a lot of time on earning such as to make family relationship become less close and get some serious diseases.
