The rendered line graph depicts the information about the numbers of travellers by railway in three different networks such as national rail, London underground, light rail and metro system s in UK from 1950 to 2004/05.

Overall, high number of people choose national rail network. Whereas, least number of people traveled in light rail and metro systems.

A glance over the graph immediately reflects, national rail was at peak in 1950 with 1000 million passengers, which showed a fluctuation and decreased til the mid 1989s and accounted for underneath 750 million travellers. Although, London underground started from nearly 750 million and hits it's bottom in 1980, after that it upsurged significantly until 1990/91.

Turning towards rest of the description, it is wothmentioning that the number of people preferred nearly as national rail network as London underground aftet 1980s to 2004/05. However, at the end of the given time period national rail was above nearly 100 million travellers than London underground. Light rail and metro systems start their services in mid 1960s, within next twenty years its usage was negligible. In 2004/05, number of passengers was highest as compared to its rest of the year.
