Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighborhood or teaching sports to younger student).
Do you agree or disagree?
Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes and I agree with that. Having more community activities during the learning process can brings many benefits.
First, the combination of practice at these unpaid community services after the theoretical lessons will help students don’t get bored and partly understand the knowledge the have learned more deeply. Sometimes the activities do not use the knowledge and books we have learned, but surely in the future, the benefits of these practical experiences will bring a lot.
Moreover, the implementation of these activities also helps students improve their responsibility for the people and things around them. Sometimes there are students who think that it is enough to just study in class without thinking about the real problems around them, so these activities will be an opportunity for students to improve their sense of responsibility.
Everyone will has a different opinion about these unpaid community services, but for me, like the above benefits, it is extremely necessary and rewarding to carry out these activities.
