The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line chart compares how often American attended fast food restaurant in three different years.

In 2003, the percentages of people who went to fast food restaurant every day and never went to fast food restaurant were 4% and 5% respectively. The figures for both groups declined by 1% in 2006 and then did not change.

The majority of American tended to have fast food once a week or once or twice a month. The percentage of former group increased from 31% in 2003 to 33% in 2006, before experienced a fall to 7% in 2013. The other group saw an opposite trend, the figure decreased from 30% in 2003 to 25% in 2006, and then rose significantly to 33% in 2013.

There was 17% of American residents chose to eat fast food several times a week, the percentage fluctuated to 16% ten years later. 13% of American had fast food a few times a year, this figure rose to 15% in 2006 and then remained stable.

Overall, more than half of American ate fast food once a week or once or twice a month.
