You have a pen-friend living in another country and he/she is curious to learn about the major news items in your country.Write a letter to your pen-friend. In your letter:•Greet your friend and say why you are writing.•Briefly describe a news story.
Hello Dave,
How are you doing? I hope this letter finds in good health and mental peace. Since you mentioned about your interest in recent news trends in India, I can you give you a brief insight about the few of the major issues which are affecting large population.
First of all, most of the political parties are actively endorsing their agenda over almost all forms of media since parliament elections are around the corner. You can follow daily debates by various candidates on some famous news channels, such as AajTak TV. According to my understanding, while other opponents are struggling, Janta Dal party is leading the battle. Secondly, there is a huge debate ongoing on women safety, especially in metro cities where the number of rape cases are increasing exponentially these days. People are furious with the governments because of their inability to establish a proper law and order.
These are the major affairs which are affecting a large crowd. I can refer you to a media expert if you need to carry out further investigation.
I hope this information will be of some use to you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best wishes,
Sandip
