According to the passage, side effects followed by the new technological invention are diagnosing a lot these days, including back pain, stress, and inefficiency. However, the speaker mainly discusses the importance of such inventions, such as e-mail, multi-task printer, and photocopiers.
As the writer states, the more ease in office work, the more time employees spend sitting and staring at a screen. As a consequence, pressure coming to eyes and backbone are increasing which leads to further health issues and ineffectual work results. The narrator casts doubt on this topic.
