An English speaking friend is coming to spend a week in your hometown. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:. offer to find a place to stay. give suggestions abut what to do in a week.. inform about the clothes to be brought.
Hello Rushnan,
I am delighted to lean about your upcoming visit to Shanghai. As you know it is my hometown, I would be certainly the best person to offer you some personalized suggestion. The central area has all the attraction, therefore choosing it as the base will allow you to explore the city as much as possible, while staying close to your conference venue. If you want I can look for some hotels in your preferred budget near the conference venue you have mentioned in our last conversation.
First of all, as you will have only one week here, I would recommend you to visit the night market, exhibition center, science museum and the Pier area. You can also schedule cruising and nightlife for the weekends as otherwise you will miss the best part of this happening city!
Secondly, please pack light and wisely. You will be traveling here next month and though it is summer, do not forget to carry some warm clothes. In the evening it is very chilly. You might also prefer to carry raincoats to cope up with the unpredictable weather.
Last but not the least, do not forget to keep me posted about your flight information. Me and my family is eagerly waiting to see you.
With love,
Shahla
