The bar chart shows British Emigration selected to destinations between 2004 and 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting and make comparisons where relevant.

The figure reveals British emigration to five countries from 2004 up to 2007. It is clearly seen that Britons preferred to go to Australia compared to the other countries.

Australia had the highest number of emigrating Britons from 2004 and three years later. It started with a little over 40,000 emigrants though it suffered a drawback a year later with 48,000 but it reached its peak on 2006 with 52,000. In 2007, it fell to 45,000 but it still remained to top place for British people to go to. The second destination preferred by Britons was Spain with 35,000 in 2004 but it fell to 27,000 in the last years.

The USA and France had a fluctuating pattern throughout the period. The USA started with 20,000 then it dropped to 19,000 and afterwards it rose again meeting the same numbers as it begun then it fell back to 20,000. The same happened to France who had 23,000 in 2004 and rocketed at 2005 with 35, 000 but declined on 2006 with almost 8,000 difference from the previous year and end with 19,000. Subsequently, New Zealand was the least preferred location among the 5 countries. At the first year it had 23,000 then it fell by almost 1,000 per year until it reached 20,000 by the last year.
