The line graph illustrates information about the amount of wheat which was exported over three different areas over the course of 5 years starting in 1985.
Overall, it is immediately obvious that wheat export rates in Australia decreased over the period shown, while the figure for European Community saw a steady rise, and the amount of wheat exporting in Canada fluctuated considerably.
In 1985, Canada exported nearly 20 millions of tonnes of wheat, while the amount of wheat was exported by the US and European community were lower, stood at exactly 15 millions and about 18 millions of tonnes.
If we look at Canada’s export rates, from 1985 to 1986, there was a steady fall. Then the figure went up considerably, reaching the peak at nearly 25 millions of tonnes. After that, despite falling sharply to just under 15 millions of tonnes, the amount of export then rose significantly, finishing at around 19 millions of tonnes in 1990. Over the same period, as regards European community, after fluctuated in the period between 1985 and 1988, the figure then reached the peak at above 21 millions in 1990, which was the highest point of the whole graph. By contrast, the amount of wheat exporting in Australia drop steadily from 1986 to 1989, and then it leveled off at just above 10 millions.
