In details, a group of middle-aged people (36-50) in 1990 took the first place in charitable donation, with approximately 42%, while the youngest group (18-25) in this year also had the least contribution, which took part in only 17% of the total donation. By 2010, both groups underwent a significant fall to 35% and 7%, respectively. The proportion of donators in the 26-35 age range also experienced a decrease, from 31% in 1990 to 24% in 2010.
In contrast, the percentage of people who took part in charity in 51-65 age and over 65 age groups both had a slight growth by decades. For people in the range of 51-65 years old, the donations rose from 35% to nearly 40%, which was the highest record of 2010. Meanwhile, the increasing figure for the over 65s was lower than this, with 32% in 1990, before growing up to 35% in 2010.
