The pie charts below illustrate some common data about electronic games players' age, gender and some kinds of best-selling games in South Korea in through the year 2003.
Overall, electronic games are very famous with the young people in Korea, specially the boys. Action is a type of games which attract a large amounts of players.
Looking at the detail, nearly half of all Korean gamers were around 18 to 35 years old. However, the percentages of under 18 years old electronic game plays was also noticeable high with 35%. The last age group was over 35 years old, which just accounted 23% of players. Obviously, the proportions of male gamers was significantly outnumbered compared with the other gender ( 72% and 28% respectively ).
More specifically, a considerable amounts of South Korean game players enjoyed playing action games (42%). The second most noticeable data was the percentages of sports game players which reached 21%. The racing games were the third best-selling game type in Korea which accounted for more than a tenth of the total number of games mentioned. Role-play games and education games had a similar proportion ( 7% for each type). The amounts of other unmentioned games was less than these two kinds of game 1%.
