The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range of the years 1990 and 2010.

The given bar chart shows the various rate of donations provided by British people concerning five different age groups between 1990 and 2010.

Overall, it can be seen that the age group between 36 and 65 tend to give the higher amount of donations compared to other age brackets, while the youngest ages from 18 to 25 donated the least in both years.

The most significant feature is that in 1990, the aged 30 to 50-year-old British gave the highest rate of donations with approximately 42% in 1990. However, in a decade, its figure declined considerably to just over a third. Meanwhile, 51 to 65years old British people spent money on donations at 35%, and they allocated much more money for it in 2010 at about 37%, which was the second largest among all age groups. On the contrary, donations from age between 18 to 25 comprised of only about 18% in 1990 and its figure drop substantially, roughly by a half.

In the meantime, donation trends from aged 60 and above and age group between 26 and 35 are quite similar. At the beginning of the period, both age groups gave donations at around more or less 30%. However, the former group donated a bit more in a decade, reaching over a third. On the other hand, the latter paid much less money for donation compared with the 1990's figure at almost a quarter.
