Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure centre that it runs, in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter:
• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in regards to your decision about closing a sports and leisure center, in our neighborhood.
My family used to it center many years up until now, my friends and I usually use the sports facilities like gym and Swimming. Should our only sports center will close, it has negatively affect our health; moreover, we couldn’t spend our leisure time especially at weekend.
This center is the only furnished center in our neighbor and if it will close, we should go over an hour to other neighbors to access other sports center, many people had charged annual registration card for sports propose.
As you know, our neighbor has many young people who spend their time in this center; thus, if it close to people might young people fall on unhealthy acidities such as drugs or gangs group.
I look forward to hearing a positive outcome from the council.
Yours faithfully,
Brown
