Academic Task 3 Rainfall Line Chart
Summarise the information by selecting and report in the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words
The line graph compares the changing patterns of rainfall that are measured in the year 2018 from England, Scotland and Wales.
As shown from the information provided, England was in the dominant position in terms of rainfall in 2018, exceeding its counterparts at large. Starting from January, English saw its rainfall fluctuating at the vicinity of 100ml prior to a dip to approximately 70 in May and June. However, it dramatically resumed to 130 ml in July. From the time onwards, the figure kept oscillating between 130 and slightly less than 90ml.
In a stark contrast, Scotland and Wales, however, revealed different patterns from England in 2018. In fact, the highest rainfall in Scotland was 130ml in both March and October, while it saw the smallest figure of some 20ml in February. Meanwhile, increasing from 50ml, Wales saw a doubled increase in July before a plunge, reaching 40ml from August to October.
Overall, in comparison to all other months, all these three regions rained over 100ml in July.
