It is clear that boys who were between 6 and 11 years old are generally more likely to play sports than the other group. Additionally, football was the most common kind of sport for both age groups.
As we can see from the table, 87% of boys who aged 6-11 chose football to play, compared to 78% of boys in the 12-16 age group. At the same time, the percentages of in two groups taking part in basketball were 35% and 25% respectively.
Turning to the remaining sports, cricket was more popular than rugby and swimming. In terms of playing cricket, 6-11 year-old-boys accounted for 45%, while the figure for 12-16 year-old-boys was 34%. Meanwhile, the proportions of boys taking part in rugby in the 6-11 age group and boys who aged 12-16 years old were 23% and 21% respectively. By contrast, boys who enjoy swimming were the same in both age groups at 19%.
