The position of honey-bee colonies rose from 4 million in 1970 to just under 4,5 million in 1980. However, US honey production showed the distinctive situation, while it fell from 130,000 tons in 1970 to 110,000 in 1980. Between 1980 and 1990, both of honey-bee colonies and honey production showed the different changing. Whilst US honey-bee colonies dropped to 3,5 million, US honey production peaked to 120,000 tons.
Then, both of them showed the same situation from 1990 to 2010. US honey-bee colonies dropped from 3,5 million to just under 2 million. In the same way, US honey production fell from 120,000 tons to 70,000 tons.
It can be concluded that both of charts show the distinctive situation at first and the same falling in the end of period.
