Dear Simoni
It`s been long since we saw each other. I hope that you and your family are all well! I`m writing to invite you to attend a forthcoming national event of Egypt, the Independence Day, next month.
The ceremony will be held exactly on October 6th, and the national party organizes big celebrations over the country, especially in the huge squares, attending by all inhabitants. Although it will be in mid of the week, all companies give a payable leave for their employees. People can enjoy the festive environment by a lot of well-organized military shows in the streets.
Egypt was acquired for more than 60 years by Briton, and we got our independence on October 6th after enormous revolutions for 12 consecutive days. However, there were deadly street-fights against soldiers, we won at the end. Egyptian government decided to celebrate this special day in memorial of the people who paid their lives for their country.
There are a lot of interesting shows and historical footage in that day, and I know that you are interested in historical events. I would therefore suggest that you attend to know how Egyptian history is extremely rich and honorable.
Seeing you soon.
Tom
