In Britain when someone gets old they go to live in a home with other old people where there are nurses to look after then. sometimes the government has to pay for their care. Who do you think should pay for this care, the government or the family. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Well being of the aged is a blessing to the Nation. The question of whom bring responsible for their care cannot be the matter of concern. This essay will discuss the level of responsibility the governement and the family share in honourning them with the care they deserve, as the citizens of state and as a family member respectively.
To begin with, unlike the olden days when the parents deleberately wanted to stay with the children at and above the age of 60, parents want to spend time with the similar age group and nursed with the attentive staff. The significant reason may be the hectic employment schedule and the inability to make time for family. For example, the old men or women seek maximum attention predominently when the senses and the energy are deteriorating. So, it is a viable decision to help them stay in the home with the attentive staff.
Now, to address the payment issue, I believe that it must be the responsibility of the government to take care of the senior citizens by setting a predefined age mark. Governments must consider this as the supporting factor for the freedom of life and welfare of the aged. For example, Indian government deposits an amont of 1000 rupees per month in the form of old age pension.
Despite the helping hand from the government it is the family who can add on to the happiness. For instance, if the person needs more than what is assured by the government then it must be payed by the family for those extra facilities or the treatment.
To conclude, I would outright believe that the basic well being of the senior citizens of the state is the responsibility of the government. However, family must pay for the extra facilities and the expenes incured. In the future, hopefully, the governments shall bring forth new initiatives focusing the aged.
