"Many lives might be saved if inoculations against cow flu were routinely administered to all people in areas where the disease is detected. However, since there is a small possibility that the person will die as a result of the inoculations, we cannot permit inoculations against cow flu to be routinely administered." - Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument

The author in this argument states that due to routine administration of inoculations against cow flu the people might die. This sounds good at first glance, but the argument is rife with many loop holes. The author in this argument did not provide any evidence for coming to the conclusion that people may die if the inoculations against cow flu is administered.

First, the author implies that by the administration of inoculations against cow flu many people might be saved in the areas where the disease is detected. Here the author's statement is very weak. It might be accepted if the author had provided any specific evidence for making this statement. He should have provided the evidence like many people were saved in a particular area due to administration of that cow flu vaccine. He should have mentioned that area who were saved from that disease to administration of cow flu inoculations. He should provide evidence on which case he told that people might be saved. Do any researchers stated that administration of this cow flu inoculation will save people. He should have provided any of the evidences to concede that statement.

Second, the author also states that there is a small possibility that a person will die as a result of the inoculations. How can the author prove this statement? Is there any evidence relating to this? He might not be true. To prove his statement the author should provide exact evidence relating to this. What is the main reason for the small possibility to die. If there are any cases like the person died due to administration of cow flu inoculation have to be provided. The reasons for the possibility of death should be provided, Until unless he provide the evidence, the conclusion cannot be made.

In addition, the author implies that regular administration of cow flu inoculations cannot be permitted. It may be true, but what is the evidence for stating this. If there is no routine administration then how a person can be saved from this disease. If there is possibility of death by administering this vaccine then why such type of vaccine has being prepared which lacks quality. The author should show some evidence like some people have dead due to administration of this vaccine, so the administration of this vaccine cannot be permitted.

To put all in a nut shell, the author should provide some specific evidences which as being discussed above to strengthen his argument. Until unless the author provide evidence this argument sounds weak and does not make any sense to the reader.
