Governments should spend more money in support of the arts than in support of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams.
Governments have the responsibility to properly distributed their money into all kinds of things to properly allow distribution of funds into all kinds of projects,, such as arts and athletics. A controversial argument can be whether the governments should spend more money in support of the arts or in support of athletics such as state-sponsored olympic teams. Personally speaking, I think governments should spend more money in athletics.
firstly, arts can be enjoyable which bring more joy to an individual’s live. However, sports can be more popular among people. Put my own consideration,I think arts are appreciated by few people compared to majority number of sports lovers. Nowadays, people just prefer watching a football game instead of going to a music theater. And with so many lovers from sports, I think governments should put quite a big attention on supporting big athletics such as state-sponsored olympic games. It will surely bring governments a promising profit and at the same time, people can enjoy their times while watching games.
Secondly, sports games such as olympic games are world-wide, by holding such big events, governments can earn their status among the whole world. What’s more, governments must put a considerable money in building infrastructures, in this way a country’s economy can be boosted. A large number of foreign investors may show their interests to invest their money on some projects and governments can also lower the rate of unemployment. Take China as example, in 2008, China hold olympic games in Beijing. As result, China got all the attention from all over the world, it turns out as a result ,more foreign visitors (come) to China, more investors (are) willing to invest their money in China. (Therefore), China economy reached a brand-new climax in next few years (that should )thanks to olympic games.
In conclusion, arts do play an important role in people’s lives, but governments should focus more on sports because it will bring more benefits both on international status and domesticated economy.
