As indicated in the bar chart, 1985 was the lowest figure for people travelling abroad compared to the next 10 years. The number of tourists was well under 6 million people. Then, in 1990, the number of passengers gradually increased at a rate of approximately 10 million people. However, the following year (1991), there was a slight decline in the amount of people. Later, in 1995 the proportion of global-trotters peaked in between the range of 16 million and 14 million.
Contrary to the previous graph, the line graph arbitrarily demonstrates Australia's share of Japan's tourism industry, reaching its apex in the year 1994. The percentage displays itself at a modest rate of just slightly above 6%, but in the following year, 1995, the rate declines by a small amount, landing at exactly 6%. Moreover, during a four-year time frame (from 1985 to 1989), the pattern of the graph gradually increased. One year after 1989 the rate significantly plummeted, it was the first anomaly in the graph. Later, in 1991, the percentage of shares rose to approximately the same rate as it was before the anomaly. From thereon the rates steadily increased.
