The two graphs show the main sources of energy in the USA in the 1980s and the 1990s.
The two pie charts compare five main sources of energy including: oil, natural gas, coal, hydroelectric power and nuclear power in America in two decades.
Overall, there is a lot of similarities between two graphs. In both years, oil was the type of energy that was used most, whereas, the consumption of hydroelectric power was less than four other categories.
In the 80s and 90s, the useage of natural gas was almost the same, about a quarter of the pie charts. The percentage of oil was 42%, which is the largest of the 1980s chart. In the 1990s, the proportion of oil was 9% less than the last decade.
In the 1980s, the data on coal was 5% and doubled in the next ten years. Meanwhile, hydroelectric power provided 5% in the USA in the 1980s. Ten years later, the consumption of hydroelectric power still remained the same. The percentage of coal is 22% and 27% respectively in the 80s and the 90s.
