You have a full-time job and you are also doing a part-time evening course.
You now find that you cannot continue the course.
Write a letter to your teachers. In your letter
describe the situation
explain why you cannot continue at this time
say what action you would like to take
Dear Mrs. Smith,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I will have to discontinue my part-time web designers’ course. I am afraid, I shall not be able to complete this course, as I am moving to another country next month.
My company has expanded to another international market, in Canada. I am offered a desirable job profile and an excellent opportunity to manage a new team in Toronto. I am thrilled to have received this promotion and wish to go ahead with the same.
Having said that, I understand that distance learning is not an option and I am forced to quit my computing sessions with you, immediately. I would have liked to attend all my upcoming classes, however, I am expected to prepare and leave for Canada at the earliest.
I would like you to know that I incredibly admire your teaching methods and look up to your speaking skills. I request you to kindly acknowledge my dismissal from this institute. Furthermore, I will be highly obliged if you could assist me with a withdrawal application to retrieve my next term fee.
Additionally, I would appreciate if you could help me donate my set of books and notes to a to a deserving student at the academy. Hoping for a quick and favorable response.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Kathy Kay
