The above figure provides information about how pencils are made. There are mainly two stages used for preparing pencils from raw material. The two stages are of pencil leads and pencil cases.
Primarily focusing on the pencil leads, the main ingredient used for this process is graphite dough which is obtained from a mixture of ground graphite, clay, and H2O. After that this graphite dough is processed in forming press to produce the graphite rod which is further cut down in particular length of pencil size and then dried in the oven on the temperature of 800c.Further, these dried leads are used in the making of a pencil.
As far as pencil leads are made then the next process comes is making of pencil cases. This process consists of tree wood which is obtained from trees. Then this wood is processed and cut into the shape of the wooden slat. Furthermore, the leads and sandwiched with wooden slat using glue.
Finally, the pencils are finished using shaping machine and we get the finished pencils.
