The given maps illustrates the refurbishment of Islip town center from now to the future. Overall, there are a lot of changes taking place to the center while some infrastructure will be maintained.
Firstly, the square of the center will be expanded considerably, include the countryside. Next, the main road is projected to be only for pedestrians while a dual carriageway will be constructed around the center to ensure the traffic flow. Shops which are on the north side of the area will be replaced by bus station, shopping center, car park. Moreover, in this area, new housing will be established and a new route is going to be planned to ensure the transporting of citizen to accommodations. In addition, the park is predicted to be narrowed to give rooms for new housing. Besides, the shops in the south side of the center is going to be maintained as well as school and housing outside the dual carriageway.
To sum up, a great deal of transformation will be made to a bigger Islip center with more facilities.
