Visitors who visit other countries should follow the local customs and behaviours or the host country should welcome the cultural diversity and allow visitors’ own custom and behaviours.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Every place has its own culture and it is sometimes thought that the tourists should adopt the traditions of the country they visit. However, others believe that the natives should show tolerance towards the diversity in culture, which results from foreigners visiting their country. In my opinion, I agree with the latter view and strongly opine that travelers are guests to their city and welcoming their cultural values is in their benefit.
To begin with, people travel to other countries to explore the place and their trip can be successful only if they do not have any compulsion of knowing or behaving as per the new culture. Admittedly, tourists would not show interest in visiting a place where they need to learn their culture or behave according to their values. For example, if I have to learn German before going to Germany then I would never go there; instead, I would think to visit some other place. thus, tourists should not be bothered to adapt to any cultural aspects.
Another reason for not imposing any cultural rules on tourists is because they bring a myriad of wealth to the country. This helps the host country to raise employment opportunities and boost their economy. As a result, it is advisable that the host country does not trouble the tourist in following their local customs and make their travel simple.
On the contrary, the critics argue that by allowing the foreigners to follow their culture, ruins the culture of the host country. The travelers bring their way of living to their country and gradually their original values diminish with time. Therefore, cultural variations should not be tolerated at any cost.
In conclusion, I pen down saying that despite some drawbacks of inviting various culture in the host country, the benefits of being liber towards tourists' culture are many. thus, the hosting country should be liberal to allow the cultural aspects of tourists in their country.
