Dear Annie,
I received your letter in which you have mentioned that you joined a new school. I am glad that you finally made to your dream school but you are facing issues as the environment here is little different from your previous school. Now, you don't have to worry as I'll share a couple of advice from my experience.
As you know, I also had been to similar situation. So, I can give you few tips to fit in. I am aware that you are quite introvert. Believe or not, you have an excellent chance to drop your shyness and interact with other students. Also, be a helping hand, you can use your academic understanding in smarter way.
Furthermore, you can join various clubs at your new school. Why don't you join their basketball club? You always loved this sport. In addition to this, you can take part in various school activities in order to get noticed or recognized.
I wish you good luck for your new endeavor. I believe that you will be able to adjust once you'll feed your need for affiliation and recognition, which you always crave. And don't forget to act bold.
